Kevin Ziemba

Kevin Ziemba is the Eastern Region Manager and part of the Genetic Development Team for STgenetics, where he and his team provide genetic support and resources to dairy producers. Born and raised on a dairy, Kevin has spent his entire life in genetics. Kevin graduated from Cornell University where he earned a master’s degree in quantitative genetics. After college, Kevin managed Advanced Dairy Genetics for three years and then held a management role at a genetics company for 17 years, providing genetic and reproduction solutions to dairy producers. During this time, he also was partner in a 3,000-cow dairy in northern New York.

 

Kevin is a very active Cornell alumna, returning to Cornell to guest lecture the Dairy Genetics class each year and has coached the Cornell dairy judging team for the past 9 years.  In 2021 his team wan the National Intercollegiate Dairy Judging Contest at Madison.

 

Kevin resides in Durhamville, New York with his wife, Barb and son, Mason. Barb is a Genetic Services Specialist for STgenetics as well and Mason is an avid dairy enthusiast, having his own breeding program working with Holsteins, Jerseys, Brown Swiss and Guernseys.
